Game of Thrones: Does George R. R. Martin Tell the Cast What Will Happen to their Characters
By all indications, A Song of Ice and Fire author George R. R. Martin is no where near completing the story that forms the foundation for HBO’s Game of Thrones, but we’re pretty sure he at least knows what’s going to happen, more or less. So does he fill the cast in on what’s going to happen? Or does he leave them in the dark and full of terror?
According to Maisie Williams, who portrays Arya Stark on the show, GRRM is not so forthcoming with info on her character’s future. In an interview with the Santa Fe Reporter, Maisie says, “[GRRM]’s a really lovely guy and I don’t see him as often as I would like to, but when I do see him and we happen to catch up, he never tells me anything about Arya’s upcoming storyline — which is kind of annoying — I’ll just have to wait and see it alongside the rest of the world, I guess.”
Looks like the cast are just as clueless about their futures as the rest of us. Only GRRM knows for sure the fate of the dozens of characters at his disposal, and he’s not talking. Looks like we’ll all have to wait until the release of his next book sometime in the next decade, unless of course, the show surpasses him in the story.
