That's up for debate, but let's start with the commonly cited incident.

Most people say Rosie fired the first shot, when she criticized the Apprentice star on The View back in 2006.

The talk show host's criticisms stemmed from Donald's choice not to fire Miss USA Tara Conner despite conduct issues such as underage drinking and drug use.

During the discussion, Rosie stated that she doesn't "enjoy" Donald Trump. Her comments didn't stop there...

Rosie went on to criticize The Donald for his business acumen, bankruptcies, divorces, and affairs.

She sarcastically quipped, "…But he's the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America. Donald, sit and spin, my friend."

Taking exception to being compared to "a snake-oil salesman on Little House On The Prairie" and the rest of Rosie's comments, Trump fired back in an interview with People.

In a combat style that's become very familiar, Don threatened to sue Rosie for false statements, called her "a real loser" and boasted, "I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie."

Donald also took credit for possibly starting the feud. In his People interview, Donald said Rosie's bitter comments likely stemmed from his previous comments about her "failed magazine" and "failed talk show."

BTW, we're not so sure The Rosie O'Donnell Show was a "failure." The syndicated talk show won multiple Emmys and ran for six years and nearly 200 episodes.

One issue Don and Rosie saw eye-to-eye on was the U.S.'s involvement in Iraq. Though we can't say he was nice to Rosie, he did take her side in a 2007 debate she had with Elisabeth Hasselbeck and called the blond "one of the dumber people in television."

If you thought that meant these two buried the hatchet... well, where were you during the 2016 presidential debates?

Don stoked the embers once more in 2011 by making this comment about her personal life. Rosie simply responded with a link to a Time feature chronicling the tycoon's numerous business failings.

The friendly pot-shots returned to their ugly origins when Rosie underwent gastric sleeve surgery in 2014.

Donald implied Rosie is a hypocrite, having criticized Star Jones's decision to undergo weight loss surgery.
