Former Hills Star Doug Reinhardt Wins $50,000 From Nightmare Neighbor
It looks like former Doug Reinhardt’s neighbor is learning the hard way not to mess with the former reality star.
Doug, who is best known for his contributions to baseball as a former member of the Angels and Orioles and his contributions to our reality TV habit as one of Lauren Conrad’s ex-boyfriends on The Hills, is now $49,500 richer, thanks to a judgment in his favor in an ongoing battle with his neighbor from hell.
Back in December, Doug’s neighbor claimed that the burly former baseball player had threatened to beat him up after the neighbor asked him to turn down the volume on the music at a late-night party at his home.
According to the neighbor, Doug called him a “pain in the butt,” and told him “I’m going to beat the f—k out of you,” causing the unnamed neighbor to seek a temporary restraining order against him, which was granted.
However, while the neighbor may have been initially successful in getting Doug to back off, when he tried to make his restraining order permanent, he was met with an unpleasant surprise.
TMZ reports that not only did the judge deny the request, he forced the neighbor to pony up nearly $50K to cover Doug’s legal bills. Ouch!
