Downton Abbey just got picked up for another season, not that there was really any doubt about the extremely popular show returning.

The drama series has been picked up for Season 5, according to Hollywood Reporter. It will continue to air on PBS in the U.S. and ITV in the UK.

The show just finished airing its fourth season in Britain and racked up huge ratings, averaging 11.8 million viewers per episode. Season 4 starts airing stateside on January 5, 2014.

"Like millions of other Downton fans, I can’t wait to see what’s next for the Crawley family," says the president of PBS. "We’re proud to be the home of this extraordinarily entertaining series, and along with our stations, we look forward to sharing Season Five with U.S. audiences."

The premiere date for Season 5 has yet to be announced, but Season 4 just wrapped today (November 10) with only the Christmas special left to air in the UK for 2013.

"Audiences have enjoyed their regular Sunday evening visits back to Downton once again this autumn, and we are thrilled to produce a new series of the show next year," says executive producer Gareth Neame. "We promise all the usual highs and lows, romance, drama and comedy played out by some of the most iconic characters on television."

"All the actors and makers of the show continue to be humbled by the extraordinary audience response and want to take the show from strength to strength next year," Gareth adds.

We can't wait for Season 5 to get here!
