In the February 2 episode, Downton Abbey is hosting another party! Thankfully, though, this one’s surprise plot twist isn’t nearly as upsetting as the one back on January 12. We don’t think we could take another turn like that this season...or ever.
Keep reading for a preview of what to expect in the February 2 episode as broken down by leading characters. If you want all the details from the episode, we just happened to watch it way back last autumn when it premiered in the United Kingdom, which means spoilers galore. But you know, only if you’re interested.
Rose (Lily James) is up to trouble, once again, as she invites a special guest to attend Uncle Robert’s (Hugh Bonneville) birthday party. Her warm welcome, however, has Cousin Mary (Michelle Dockery) more than a little concerned.
In the last episode, Mr. Bates (Brendan Coyle) learned of the attack on his wife, Anna (Joanne Froggatt). Now, it seems the couple can move ahead with their lives. That is, unless Bates gets himself sent to jail for exacting revenge on the evil Mr. Green (Nigel Harman). We’re not saying we want Green spared; we just don’t want Anna hurt anymore than she already has been.
New Character Alert!
Here he is: Lady Mary’s second love interest of the season! Charles Blake (Julian Ovenden) arrives at Downton to assist old family friend Evelyn Napier (Brendan Patricks) and he and Mary immediately hit it off but not in a good way.
