While we’ve had plenty of romances among the upstairs members of Downton Abbey this season, Cupid hasn’t had quite as good of aim downstairs.

Daisy’s (Sophie McShera) attempts to woe Alfred (Matt Milne) went so badly he’s not even employed at Downton anymore though, to be fair, that wasn’t really Daisy’s fault while our go-to couple Anna (Joanne Froggatt) and Bates (Brendan Coyle) have been trying to keep their heads above water after the storm that rocked their world earlier this season.

A new clip from the February 16 episode, however, has us hoping a new romance might be about to bloom among the downstairs staff. Baxter (Raquel Cassidy) and Mr. Molesley (Kevin Doyle) are enjoying the annual bazaar hosted on the estate’s grounds, watching the blowhard Jimmy Kent (Ed Speleers) try and prove his strength at a festival game. Not surprisingly, Jimmy’s all hot air and no action.

“Go on. You have a go, Mr. Molesely,” Baxter encourages her new friend. The frequently defeated Mr. Molesley laughs at the suggestion until he sees how earnestly the lady’s maid is looking at him. Inspired, he steps up to the game and, well, see for yourself in the video below.

One other interesting note about this video: Thomas (Rob James-Collier) is back! The underbutler spent last episode abroad with Lord Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) after Bates declined to go along to America (his undisclosed reason, of course, being so he could stay by the still emotionally raw Anna). So if Thomas is back at Downton, that must mean Robert is, too!

We can tell you more but only if you don’t mind spoilers.
