Downton Abbey may currently be filming its fifth season over in the United Kingdom, but unfortunately that doesn’t mean we’re getting the kind of top-grade spoilers we so desperately crave after watching the Season 4 finale earlier this week.

When news does make the long trip overseas, it typically comes in crumbs. One such spoiler-y morsel? In Season 5, we’ll meet a new character named Simon Brickner, who U.K. channel ITV reveals will be “a guest” of the family.

In fact, the actor playing Simon, Richard E. Grant, has already begun filming, and even snapped the very first on-set photo we’ve seen of Season 5.

Little else is known about his character so far, but thankfully Richard is a bit of a social butterfly and he’s gabbed about a few more Downton details.

First, we know how long he’ll be on the show: “I got an email asking if I’d do four episodes,” Richard said during a recent interview with Vulture. Since he’s already on set and filming just started at the beginning of February, we expect to see Simon make his entrance and exit from Downton early on in the season.

Second, we know what he does for a living: “I’m allowed to tell you his name is Simon Bricker and that he is an art historian,” Richard says, adding that’s all we’ll get from him for now. “I’m told if I say anything more, my knees will be taken off.”

What do you make of these two developments? Intrigued or need more? Check our Season 5 spoiler roundup for all the details to date.
