The Downton Abbey cast and crew are notoriously tight-lipped when it comes to their work on any new season of the U.K. hit. But thankfully, there’s a new guy on set who just can’t help sharing a little love online.

Richard E. Grant, who plays a new character named Simon Bricker, already gave us a sneak peek at Season 5 back when it became filming in February. At the time, we just got a look at his gloves but now Richard’s treated us to a head-to-toe shot.

On DOWNTON ABBEY duty this fine LickYourPlateCleanFriday,” he captioned a March 28 photo of him looking sharp in formal attire.

The actor, whose character has been simply described as an upstairs “guest” of the family, also tweeted a photo of one of the antique cars that ferry folks to and from the Abbey. Could a dinner party be a foot?

Unfortunately, the on-set snap got show creator Julian Fellowes’s tie in a bit of a twist. “He’s very naughty,” Jules tells The Telegraph of Richard’s photo posts. “The trouble we’ve had with things like Twitter.”

Julian added that they’ve had to give the cast a good talking to about what they can and cannot share about the popular show.

“We had to explain to the cast about the dangers of tweeting as no one realized how interested everybody was in the show. You’re in a bubble when you’re filming,” he explains. “You’re just tweeting these nice things and you don’t realize there are millions of people worldwide trying to pick up the plot.”

Who? Us?

What do you think Richard’s photos could mean? And do you think the cast will abide by Papa Jules’ strict ruling? Tell us in the comments. Picking apart the plot welcome.
