Julian Fellowes runs a tight ship over at the S.S. Downton Abbey and, as such, even though Season 5 has been filming since February, we’ve heard barely a peep out of the cast on what all they’re working on. Our main source of intel — new cast member Richard E. Grant — got his gloved hand slapped after he shared a photo from set and since then he’s buttoned up good. Darn you, Cap’n Jules!

Thankfully, though, the drought on news has finally ended. The Telegraph tells us a new cast member has joined Series No. 5 and it’s someone who will be particularly close to our make-believe grandma, the Dowager Countess (Maggie Smith). Acclaimed British actress Sue Johnston will be headed to the Abbey as new lady’s maid to the Dowager.

Seventy-year-old Sue has a career nearly as illustrious as her celebrated co-star. She’s started in U.K. hit Coronation Street as well as similar classic TV series Waking the Dead and The Royle Family. Now, as lady’s maid Denker, she’ll cater to the Dowager’s every whim — not an easy task! Dare we hope this means the Dowager will be sticking around for all of Season 5?

Downton Abbey Season 5 returns to the U.K. in September 2014 with an expected U.S. air date of January 2015.
