Dear Rose Leslie. Do you need a job? Did Sunday night’s episode of Game of Thrones really put a dent in your plans?

Well, guess what! Downton Abbey would love to have you back. We haven’t talked to Julian Fellowes or anything, but if the past three seasons since you left the show have proved anything, it’s that good help is hard to find. So, you interested? We know you’ve been away, fighting the Crows and spelunking with the cleanest in the flock, but now that those days are done, come on back to civilization, why don’t you?

This is the email we’d write Rose if we didn’t already know her answer. See we’re not the only folks who were hoping she’d reprise her role as the spunky Gwen Dawson. Entertainment Weekly asked too!

“I had such a phenomenal time on season one,” she began, getting our hopes up. “But no, I think Gwen is very happy now that she’s married so I think she’s living her life with her husband and I think we should leave that be.”

Way to shoot a fan through the heart, Rose! That kind of black and white answer makes it pretty clear Gwen won’t be back for Season 5. But, you know, that might not be the worst thing. Seeing her around the Abbey could just make us miss Lady Sybil all the more.
