Downton Abbey has been losing characters like crazy, so now it's time to add some fresh blood!
Six new characters will be joining the show next season, and Shirley MacLaine will also be reprising her role as Martha Levinson, according to Deadline.
The show could use a few new bodies, now that O'Brien is not returning to the show, joining such fallen comrades as Matthew and Lady Sybil.
Among the new characters will be Lady Shackleton — who's an old friend of the Dowager — and an aristocrat named Charles Blake.
There will also be a new character by the name of Green, a valet who is joining the household, and a guest character named the Duchess of Yeovil.
Another new face is Lord Gillingham, who will be an old family friend of the Crawleys who will be a guest during a house party.
Additionally, opera star Dame Kiri Te Kanawa will be playing a guest who sings in the house.
Whew! That's a whole lot of new people to keep track of in this home. Let's just hope that none of them die anytime soon.
