It's almost the best time of the year: Downton Time! After what feels like forever (but has actually been less than a year) American audiences will get a chance to return to the Abbey this Sunday (January 5, 2014). That evening, PBS premieres Season 4 of the show with a special two-hour long episode (they're running Episode 1 and Episode 2 back-to-back).

Of course, the show's already long over in the UK, having run for eight weeks starting in September and ending in early November before airing the Christmas Special on, you guessed it, Christmas Day. Of course, waiting for the series to air is nothing new for US fans. Season 3 also debuted in the United Kingdom several months before it made its way overseas. Why PBS and ITV don't sync up their show schedules, we'll never understand

But those days are almost done. If you'd like a heads up on what to expect in this fourth trip to Downton, you've come to the right place. We've got spoilers galore so you can know everything that's going to happen; that way no nasty plot twists upend your evening like a couple particular episodes did last time round.

If you're looking to remain unspoiled, however, no problem. We're all ears when it comes to fan suggestions on where the series should go in the weeks ahead. What with the absences of major characters Lady Sybil Crawley (Jessica Brown Findlay) and Matthew Crawley (Dan Stevens), the possibilities are endless. Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Tune into PBS at 9 p.m. on January 5, 2014, for the premiere of Downton Abbey Season 4. Got plans for the big night? Tell us! We love ourselves a good Downton watch party.
