It's Lord Gillingham!
But it wasn’t a runaway (and in fact, the results have gone in Charles’ favor since our initial story).
By just a small margin of votes, Tony takes home the title of Mr. Mary Crawley instead of Mr. Blake. It was a hard-fought battle with Gillingham receiving 38.2 percent of the vote to Charles’s very respectable 35.6 percent. (Evelyn got a measly 7 percent while Single Life received 19.5 percent. Sorry, Evey. Guess Downton fans would rather see Mary alone forever than with you.)
Of course, there’s no word about whom, if anyone, Mary chooses to be her second husband and new father to baby George, but Julian Fellowes, if you’re listening, the people have spoken. And people, feel free to keep speaking as we ramp up for the Season 4 finale.
