The Cast of Downton Abbey Season 3
On the second episode of Downton Abbey’s third season, Lord Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) and Matthew (Dan Stevens) are forced to attend a white tie affair in black tie. Upon seeing her son so horrifically underdressed (he’s in a tuxedo, mind you), the Dowager Countess snaps, “I’m so sorry, I thought you were a waiter.”
Fortunately for the cast members, such strict fashion rules don’t apply in real life — and the downstairs folks own more than two outfits.
