Downton Abbey Season 3, Episode 4: June 1920
Arson in Ireland sends Branson to the steps of Downton and the Crawleys in a fervor over the safety of pregnant Sybil. The youngest daughter does make it home safe where Lord Grantham convinces the Home Secretary to allow his Irish son-in-law to remain in England. Meanwhile, Edith decides to share her opinions on women's suffrage and writes to the newspaper. Things are equally topsy-turvy downstairs where a new footman, Jimmy Kent, draws the attention of the female staff and Thomas, and a new kitchen maid, Ivy Stuart, causes Alfred's eyes to stray from Daisy. Anna and Bates wonder why they're not receiving letters from one another and Ethel makes the painful decision to let her son live with his paternal grandparents so he can have a better life.
