Dr. Oz’s Granddaughter Has a Name — And the Best Initials Ever!
Dr. Oz became a grandpa last week when his daughter Daphne welcomed her own little girl into the world with husband John Jovanovic. Ever since the February 26 birth we’ve been waiting on baited breath to learn the name of the new little lady. Drum roll please! Let’s give a big welcome to Philomena Bijou Jovanovic!
If you didn’t catch it already, that tongue-twister of a name makes the initials of Dr. Oz’s grandchild PBJ as in, you know, the beloved afternoon snack of children the world over. We’re not sure how intentional that may have been (Daphne is a natural foods chef, after all) or if it was all just a sweet mistake.
Either way, Daphne seems thrilled to be a mama. The TV hostess briefly appeared on ABC’s The Chew today to update her co-stars about life post-baby. Appearing via Skype (and wearing makeup for the first time in a week), a glowing Daphne told the audience she and hubby John are loving every moment with their little one!
“I am home with our beautiful new daughter,” she told her ABC family. “She’s such a delight and our precious little doughnut.”
Wait. Doughnut or sandwich? We need to get this straight.
