Drake Addresses Feud With Nicki Minaj: I Messed Up

Drake is all over the news these days for his connections to certain popular music princesses — but this time, it’s not about Rihanna! In Drake’s hit single, “Tuscan Leather,” he raps "Not even talkin' to Nicki, communication is breakin'/ I dropped the ball on some personal sh--, I need to embrace it,” and MTV.com caught up with him to ask about what the song is about, since the only Nicki we know is Minaj.

"That line in 'Tuscan Leather' isn't exactly where I am in my life right now but like a year ago...eight months, seven months ago, it was how I felt," Drake said in a quick interview about the lyrics.

So, what happened, exactly? "I'd done something wrong and I wasn't speaking to her," the former Degrassi star / our Canadian boyfriend (sorry Biebs) explains. So, how does Nicki feel about the single, which came out on the album Nothing Was the Same, released September 24, 2013?

Well, he doesn’t know, because the two flagship artists on Lil’ Wayne’s OVO Sound aren’t speaking to each other at all.

For her part, Nicki was asked back in July during a guest appearance on Hot97’s Funkmaster Flex about her deal with Drizzy. “Drake is my baby because that's how it was when we came in. So whenever I think of him, 'That's my baby,’” she said, brushing off the question of what’s going on with them.

We still have no answers as to what happened, since it doesn’t seem to be a romantic thing. When Drake was on Ellen last week, he said of the “Starships” singer, “Yeah, me and Nicki are like family … We haven’t really shared an intimate moment.”

Seems like an “intimate moment” at a table to sit and talk might be in order...
