Bachelorette Season 9’s Drew Kenney “Falling” In Love With a New Girl?

Although Desiree Hartsock found love with Chris Siegfried during her Season 9 Bachelorette journey, we’ve maintained a certain worry for runner-up Drew Kenney all along. The sweet Scottsdale, Arizona native cried during the finale episode (and, um, other episodes, too) after Des told him about five minutes into their final 1-on-1 date that she just wasn’t that into him, and broke his heart.

He had a few weeks to think over what happened on the beach in Antigua, but we’ll never forget the pain in his eyes when he responded to Desiree’s dismissal on the August 5 finale."You don't have to be sorry for not being in love with me. Just because I feel a certain way, doesn't mean you can control that. I would want you to be as in love with me as I am with you. This hurts. This hurts a lot. I don't know when this will really sink in, but I guess this is goodbye,” he said at the time, choking back tears.

On “After the Final Rose,” he tried to be cool, but then he asked the question we’ve all wanted to say (and have occasionally let slip) to our exes: “What could I have done differently?” Though Des told him it wasn’t his fault, we were pretty sure he crawled back into his soft pants and was down for the count.

And then, on September 23, we spotted a faint beacon of light at around midnight when the model-slash-new Los Angeles resident tweeted, “Most of me knows my vulnerability makes me human and alive, the rest of me is terrified of it. I guess that's why they call it falling.”

Sure, it’s not exactly a Siegfried sonnet, but we’re feeling you, Drewsef. Quick question, though, to everyone: Read that a few times and then tell us if you came to the same conclusion.

When Drew and Des had their 1-on-1 in Germany, it seemed like he started to open up. So, when he’s talking about being vulnerable and “falling,” he is talking about love, right? Which raises our second question: Who’s the lucky lady?
