‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Rebecca Robertson Is Engaged
One Duck Dynasty star is about to fly the coop, as Rebecca Robertson has announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Johnreed Loflin!
Rebecca, 27, made the announcement on Instagram on New Year's Day via a sweet post showing her and her beau, 29, strolling along the ocean shore, with "2016 Our Story Starts Here" scrawled in the sand.
The co-owner of the Duck & Dressing boutique shared her engagement story with Us Weekly, and it all started with a shell-hunting trip to the beach. "I was determined to find the best shell that day,” she tells the magazine.
“We had been walking searching for about an hour, and I saw this beautiful swirly shell hidden in the sand, and the ring was also hiding in there, and he got on his one knee as I pulled the ring out, and he said, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you spend the rest of your life with me?'"
The reality star's ring is a one-of-a-kind featuring an enormous opal gemstone set in a 14-karat gold Art Deco-inspired ring. "My birth/favorite stone!" she says of the jewel.
Rebecca is the adopted daughter of show stars Willie and Korie Robertson, and first joined the family as an exchange student from Taiwan when she was 16. She joined the cast of the show in season 5.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
