Duck Dynasty Season 5 Premieres Tonight: Will You Be Watching?

Tonight brings the premiere of the fifth season of A&E’s biggest reality hit (and television’s number one unscripted show) Duck Dynasty, but this time around things are a little different. For one, we’re in the wake of the Phil Robertson GQ scandal, which has some people questioning whether it will hurt or help ratings. But regardless of that, fans of the show also have something else to look forward to: a whole new season of light-hearted family fun — with the added bonus of two new Robertsons to the cast!

We’ve already filled you in on the inclusion of Rebecca — Willie and Korie’s adoptive 20-something adoptive daughter. The Taiwanese beauty is back from an internship in L.A.; and from her boutique with Korie to her style blog, this girl will be bringing some fashion sense to the Louisiana bayou.

The show doesn’t waste any time in introducing us to Becca, who will show up in tonight’s premiere, entitled “Boomerang Becca.” But we also have another Robertson to look forward to in the following episodes — sort of.

According to preview, the second episode will introduce us to Korie’s cousin JD, whom she wants Willie to hire as an assistant.

"When Willie is looking to hire a new assistant, Korie insists he interview her cousin, JD. Willie is hesitant at first, but immediately hits it off with JD, who truly appreciates Willie's sense of humor," the episode synopsis reads. "Now, JD just has to win over the Duck Call room guys, who are wary of having another Willie in the office."

Sounds very interesting! Can’t wait to see how everyone meshes.. or doesn’t.

Catch Duck Dynasty when it airs tonight, January 15 at 10 p.m. ET on A&E.
