DWTS Pro Tristan MacManus Calls Gladys Knight a ”Very Passionate Performer”
Dancing With the Stars pro Tristan MacManus considers himself a very lucky man to be partnered with musical legend Gladys Knight for Season 14.
“It’s great for me because she is a very passionate performer and that’s something you can’t teach people,” says the Irish hunk. “If she can put that into her performance every week then it will be unbelievable.”
Tristan did well with another older woman for a partner — in his debut Season 13, he and 52-year-old Nancy Grace made it all the way to the quarterfinals. And this time, at least he knows who he’s dancing with.
“I didn’t know who Nancy was last year but I am a huge music fan,” he says. “I don’t think there is anyone who says they like music and doesn’t know Gladys Knight.”
True, but will Gladys start singing “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” right in the middle of their numbers? Tristan says he wouldn’t mind at all. “I am hoping she just starts singing when she comes out on the rehearsal floor, I sing along a lot when I dance, so I hope she doesn’t critique me,” he said.
Oh, Tristan. No one would critique you of anything except being a little too gorgeous.
Dancing With the Stars Season 14 premieres Monday, March 19 at 8 pm ET/PT on ABC.
