Eddie Cibrian Admits to Turning Down Role on Dallas For LeAnn Rimes

Each and every relationship requires compromise, but is there such thing as too much compromise? That’s exactly what we’re asking ourselves after learning that Eddie Cibrian made some serious sacrifices for the sake of his marriage to LeAnn Rimes. What’s this we hear about the Cuban hottie turning down hot TV roles?

In the latest episode of VH1’s LeAnn & Eddie, the couple dished about how hard it is to balance their careers and family — and Eddie even revealed that he turned down a gig on TNT’s Dallas in order to stay at home and, from what it sounds like, keep his kids from having to spend any extra time with mom Brandi Glanville.

“It was the first time I had to make the decision to be away from my children,” the 41-year-old actor began. “The kids would be with Brandi during the week. She would have taken them to school. She would have to make sure their homework [was done]. My kids suffered. I suffered. It just wasn’t good. Oh man, being a working actor and a father and spouse, they’re battling each other all the time.”

But don’t cry for Eddie, Argentina, it sounds like he’s totally cool with the decision. “I am totally OK with it,” he continued. “Even if they could have worked it out it would have still been very difficult. There is no way that I could do it.”

Apparently they were offering him a three-day weekend once a month so he could travel back to Los Angeles to see his family, but after working on the now-defunct The Playboy Club in 2011, he knew that it wouldn’t work — no matter how hot this Dallas reboot is.

As for how LeAnn feels about this? She doesn’t seem to like how much Eddie is sacrificing these days. “It breaks my heart to see you have to compromise as much as you do,” she said.

Hopefully this duo will be able to figure out some work-life balance so they can continue to dominate the TV and music industries. We have faith, you two!
