A few months may have passed since Justin Bieber’s egg-cellent adventure happened, but the case is far from over. In February, it was sent to the district attorney’s office, and according to TMZ, the DA has made his mind up about how the impending trial is going to end.
If you’re a little fuzzy on the details, we can’t blame you — Justin does, after all, find himself in trouble with the law just about once a week. This case is the one where Justin was caught yolk-handed after tossing eggs at a neighbor’s house and causing a significant amount of damage, and then the police descended upon Casa Bieber looking for evidence and arresting Justin’s pal, Lil Za.
And now, it sounds like Justin will be punished for this incident to the fullest extent of the law, because “If this isn’t felony vandalism, nothing is.”
Reportedly, Justin’s neighbor (and victim of the egg toss) received a call from the deputy DA that spelled out the “Believe” singer’s fate. “If we don’t charge him with a felony we ruin precedent for every other felony case we want to charge,” the officer allegedly said.
Considering the fact that Justin caused over $20,000 in damage, it’s no surprise that the DA wants to make sure he gets the message loud and clear that destroying other people’s property is not okay.
And in our opinion? A felony charge could be the perfect wake up call for Justin. Hopefully, we’ll find out the official ruling soon!
