Ellen told us that she doesn't like being painted as the bad guy in the relationship, when she "really tried" to do right by Rosie. She didn't even want to go in front of the Real Housewives of New Jersey cameras — she only agreed as a favor!
"I think I was really nice to her," Ellen told us of the relationship, adding that Rosie is "set in her ways," and that made it hard for them to work. "I think I was really pretty nice to her. I think that she and I were really not meant to be together."
Ellen also feels like she was "manipulated" into being on Real Housewives of New Jersey, something she now regrets. "I'm sorry I did it, I'm sorry I went out with her, I feel like she used me," Ellen told us. "We really weren't in a heavy-duty relationship. We were just very good friends, and she makes it seem like we were together and we had this whole relationship. Really, I was just doing her a favor, and now I'm paying the price."
Ellen added that Rosie won't even talk to her any more. "I shouldn't have [gone on the show]. I was really just trying to be friends with her and help her."
As we've seen over and over again, reality TV and relationships — whether friendly, romantic, or familial — don't always mix well. It sounds like Ellen learned that the hard way.
Rosie said there are no hard feelings on her end, so hopefully everyone can move on from this clearly difficult situation and Ellen can find her Ms. Right— without any cameras around.
