Elton John Insults The Voice Winners: “They’re Nonentities”

For the past four seasons we’ve been eating up NBC’s hit reality competition show The Voice, but the show’s not without its critics. And music legend Elton John has just been added to that list.

"The Voice is all about watching the judges, it is in America," Sir Elton's told Radio 4's Today program (via the U.K.'s Telegraph). "Nobody on The Voice in America has had a hit record. They're nonentities."

Geez, Elton is starting to sound like Sir Simon Cowell! But we can’t necessarily argue with him on that point. That doesn’t, however, mean there aren’t great things in the works!

Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope plans to release her post-Voice album this fall and her first single, “Wasting All These Tears,” debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes country charts and No. 3 on the general charts.

Plus, Season 4 winner Danielle Bradbery is set to have a promising country career as well. The Texas teen has already been thrown into the recording studio following her June 2013 win.

Do you think Elton has a point or is he dishing on a topic he knows little about? Tell us below!
