Emily Blunt and John Krasinski may have welcomed their first daughter, Hazel, on February 16, but when Emily was still pregnant, she told Vogue she was having the time of her life.
“It’s really the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me,” Emily told the mag for their April 2014 issue about a month before Hazel was born.
Emily’s smooth pregnancy might have had a little something to do with the fact that she went easy on herself through the entire process. Instead of swearing off vices like coffee and hitting the pregnancy books hard during the whole ordeal, she tried to stay laid-back while she waited for her new bundle of joy to make her grand entrance.
“I allow myself one coffee a day,” Emily said. “Everyone says don’t go online and read as few books as you possibly can.”
Not only did pregnancy agree with Emily — it sounds like motherhood is doing her well, too. Emily and John stepped out for the first time post-baby, and Emily looks amazing for somebody who gave birth less than 2 months ago.
This could have something to do with the way Emily stayed fit as a mom-to-be, though — although we’re not about to discredit her obviously good genes. Early in her pregnancy, she worked on her core and added in some pilates, and turned to hiking later in her pregnancy. Um, is it pathetic if we admit that Emily worked out more as a pregnant person than we do as a non-pregnant, lazy person?
