The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney to Perform in Atlanta: Will She Also Be on Set?
The majority of the cast of The Walking Dead has been on the set of the show for several weeks already as they work hard to film the fifth season in and around Atlanta. However, there is one TWD actress who has been traveling the globe in recent weeks, worrying us that her TWD character may not make it far into Season 5.
Emily may have been spotted briefly on the TWD set earlier this month, but she certainly hasn’t spent much time there. Instead, the Nebraska native has been promoting her album, Expired Love, in New York City, Los Angeles, and Dallas to name a few places.
Emily’s absence from the Season 5 set thus far isn’t a huge surprise since her character was seemingly kidnapped and hasn’t been seen since Season 4, Episode 13: “Alone”, but we started to worry once the second and third weeks of filming rolled around and she was still MIA.
However, it’s worth noting that, despite no information about where Beth is, comic book creator and TWD executive producer Robert Kirkman has said that we’ll see her “fairly quickly” once Season 5 kicks off in October, which makes Emily’s most recent Instagram post that much sweeter!
On May 27 Emily Instagramed a drawing advertising one of her upcoming shows. She reiterated everything in the photo’s caption, writing, “Hey Atlanta!! I'm gonna be @criminalrecords on Saturday to sing few songs and sign yer Expired Love Albums!!”
She’s headed to ATL, people. This is good news! Sure, this doesn’t necessarily mean she’ll be back on set soon, but it’s a pretty good indication that there’s some TWD in her future. And for those of you that live in the Atlanta area, we highly recommend you check out Emily’s show. Not only is she a skilled musician, but given the fact that she’s on TWD turf, we wouldn’t be surprised if some of her co-stars decided to check out the show as well!
Are you happy to hear that Emily is headed to Atlanta, or are we reading too much into this? Vote below!
The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October 2014 on AMC.
