Em's fourth fiancé, Tyler Johnson, gave her five of those rings, and the lucky lass showed them off on Good Morning America on January 14. You can see fellow Bachelor alum and GMA correspondent Melissa Rycroft helping Em flash her bling in the behind-the-scenes photo shown.
Since Emily had already received three more traditional engagement rings — from the late Ricky Hendrick, Bachelor Brad Womack, and Bachelorette winner Jef Holm, — she requested something different. (So it sounds like she knew this day would come, even if she didn't know it would come specifically on January 4.)
"I wanted a stack of bands," Ricki's mom told GMA's Lara Spencer. "I just wanted, like, gold bands, but he did a very good job. This is way more than I thought." Tyler added more diamonds than she expected, which was probably a wise move on his part. What is she going to do, complain?
Emily was wearing pieces of her own jewelry collection, so Lara asked if she would design her own and Tyler's wedding bands. Our former "West Virginia hood rat," as aware of her own track record as anyone, quipped, "You know what, I think I should leave that to somebody who knows — I think I should stay far away from any kind of engagement rings or anything. I don't want to jinx it!"
That's probably a good plan. She wants this relationship to last, so the smart thing to do might be the opposite of everything she's done to this point. Love ya, Em!
What do you think of her fab five rings? Cool idea? Do you think her finger will get tired from all the weight or would that actually be lighter than one giant diamond?
