‘Empire’ Star Morocco Omari Arrested for Domestic Violence
It appears that one actor Empire fans have come to know as a FBI agent now has his own trouble with the law — Morocco Omari has been arrested and charged with domestic violence.
Morocco, best known for playing Lucious Lyon’s half-brother Tariq on the hit series, has been accused of abusing a Chicago woman, according to TMZ.
Police reports indicate a 24-year-old woman called 911 Wednesday, claiming she and the television star were arguing when he pushed her to the ground several times.
She claims to have suffered scratches to her neck and chest.
Officers arrived to the scene around 2:30 PM, assessed the young woman’s injuries and promptly arrested the actor.
He was officially booked for misdemeanor domestic battery.
The tension was reportedly so bad the hair and makeup team filed a complaint against the guest star.
Nia denies the allegations, dropping a cryptic hint via Instagram that the truth will come out soon.
