From the sound of it, Latino pop star Enrique Iglesias might not be tennis champ Anna Kournikova's "Hero" forever. OK! is reporting that the couple has broken up, ending a 12-year relationship.
Granted, this news is coming from OK!, which hasn't always been spot-on with its reporting, so you might not want to drop everything to go stalk Enrique and his pretty, currently mole-free face.
Enrique and Anna first hit it off in late 2001, and she even played his love interest in the music video for his hit 2002 single "Escape." (Those were the days!)
He even secretly married Anna sometime around 2007 and only revealed the news in January 2008, saying that he and the Russian beauty were separated at the time.
Anna had an enviable tennis career, and even ranked in 2000 as the eighth-best singles player. Sadly, she was forced to retire around 2002 due to back and spinal pain. Now 32, she's an ambassador for the health organization Population Services International.
Enrique, now 38, enjoyed a hugely-successful reign as the King of Latin Pop a decade ago — but he has recently made a career resurgence with the success of singles like "I Like It," "Finally Found You," and "Tonight." He's currently working on his tenth studio album.
Do you believe the report? Or do you think that Anna really can't "Escape" his love?
