Grey’s Anatomy Season 10, Episode 3 Spoilers: What We Learn From the Promo

Grey's Anatomy likes to start its seasons off with a bang, and then the writers often put on the breaks when it comes to drama, lightening things up with a more comedic episode or two. It looks like Season 10 is going to follow this pattern — if the promo is anything to go by, Season 10, Episode 3 ("Everybody's Crying Mercy") is going to provide some much needed relief after last night's epic, draining two-parter.

What can we expect now that the storm (both metaphorical and literal) has passed? We've taken a close look at the promo to see what it reveals.

MerDer face parenthood — and it's hard! Sure, Meredith and Derek know how to raise a toddler thanks to Zola, but they've never had a newborn, and it turns out screaming babies are hard to deal with. Who knew?

The promo opens with an exhausted Meredith looking up as Derek holds a screaming Bailey. "He's hungry, and my nipples are no use to him," Derek explains. Next, we see Derek snoring on the couch. "He took a nap," Meredith complains on the phone, probably to Cristina. "Where's my nap?"

Sure is tough having the perfect happy family!

Alex and Jo fail to get it on. For some reason, Alex and Jo still haven't actually done the deed. At :09 we see Cristina tease Alex, "Why don't you guys ever sleep together?" "We will!" he snaps back. Given that his head is buried in his pillow, we're guessing he's bummed by the lack of action.

An Owen/Cristina moment. At :12 we see Owen and Cristina have an awkward moment. We have a feeling there are a lot of those in store.
