Oh, Episode 4. Remember the simpler times of Andi Dorfman’s season? Like in the Season 10 Bachelorette premiere, where the most drama our gal had to worry about was Chris Bukowski turning up to try and give her roses? Yeah, those days are gone, as are two more contenders in the race for Andi’s heart.
This two-hour trainwreck of an episode saw Andi taking her remaining 13 menfolk to Connecticut (romance capital of the east, right?) where she had a couple of 1-on-1 dates, a group date that had her man friends getting schooled on the court, and an exit so polarizing ABC opted not to finish the episode with a Rose Ceremony.
Going into the cocktail party, Dylan Petitt, Brian Osborne, and Marcus Grodd all had roses, leaving 10 nervous men eyeballing the 8 remaining blooms. That’s when the two men who had a Spidey sense they were getting cut both sought Andi out for reassurance. Tasos Hernandez asked Andi what he could do to get to her love nest. She responded that he could cut the plate-throwing and lock-locking and just “open up.” Then Eric Hill asked her why she was being so fake, which led to what we hope is the worst moment of the season, because we can’t take anything sadder than what we watched tonight.
Eric got dismissed before the ceremony, and though ABC didn’t air the giving of the roses out of respect to Eric (now deceased), we know Tasos was the other beautiful face to leave us tonight.
Here’s hoping next week’s date has no serious moments. Like, none. Let’s just focus it all on Josh, who we know can giggle for two hours straight.
