Bachelorette 2014 Episode 7 Ratings: Did People Watch Nick Viall’s Villainous Turn?
Well, things finally started to get real on last night’s Episode 8 of Andi Dorfman’s Season 10 of The Bachelorette — and it looks like viewers really took note. While the last few weeks of the ABC reality search for love failed to bring in the viewers it usually does, with the promise of Hometown Dates just one ep away, people checked back in again, dying to know which families Andi would be facing in the July 7 episode.
So how up was the show in the June 30 ep? Let’s not call this a total win just yet, but at least it’s not another step down. According to TVBytheNumbers — and after the initial raw numbers were adjusted — The Bachelorette improved upon last week’s 1.5 rating with a 1.6 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic. So, not exactly leaps and bounds, but it sure is a start!
It’s not a complete shock to us that Andi and her gaggle of guys are back on the up and up. This week’s outing in Belgium was the final stop on the Atlanta gal’s tour of Europe, and the stakes were high. Not only did she have a tough pick between the six remaining handsome gents — and boy is this is a good-looking bunch! — but she also had to think about which guys were worth the trip to their (widely spanning — Iowa to Florida to Wisconsin) hometowns.
But beyond all of that, there was one other fella who may have contributed to watchability: that troublemakin’ Nick Viall. McSalty went from sour to sneaky this week, showing up at Andi’s door unannounced and stealing her away for a surprise 1-on-1. The rest of Andi’s suitors may have called him calculated, but whatever he’s doing is really working — especially for those ABC network execs. Keep it up, “Tricky Nicky”!
