Bachelorette 2014 Episode 7 Synopsis: Trouble Brews in Belgium

During Season 10 of The Bachelorette we’ve followed Andi Dorfman and her gaggle of guys through France and Italy, but it’s sort of felt like all fun and games until now — if you don’t count those JJ O’Brien tantrums and Nick Viall’s feud with the guys. Mr. McSalty’s issues with the bros aren’t going away in June 30’s Episode 7 in Belgium, but at least we’re getting lots of lurvvv and feelings to set it all off!

Seriously, the other two stops on Andi’s Euro Trip (™) may get all the credit for being romantic, but it’s the castles and countryside of Brussels that really get the gang prosecutor’s heart pumping. By the looks of things in the promo, the Bachelorette has her share of makeouts in next week’s episode!

ABC released their official full synopsis for the ep this week, and we’ve got all the scoop for the Dorf’s time in the City of… Waffles? Chocolate? Beer? Actually, this sounds like the best place on Earth.

For one, there’s Marcus Grodd, who has his chance to drop even more L-bombs on Andi for his second 1-on-1 date. It’s been a while since the blue-eyed hunk professed his premature love in Connecticut, and the preview says Andi “feels the need to reconnect” with him. The two sample some of those traditional Belgian foods (yum!), but it’s the “stunning admission” that Marcus offers up after at their dinner at the spectacular Palais de Academies that impresses Andi and may hook him a Hometown Date.

The other solo timer this week is Josh Murray, who needs to win back Andi’s trust after getting all sketchy about the lie detector on June 23’s episode. It sounds like it shouldn’t be too hard with the rustic countryside town of Ghent as his backdrop. The two light candles in a cathedral before attending a concert at the Castle of the Counts (you can take the girl out of the country, but not the country out of the girl). Still, ABC teases “there is just one thing missing … and without it, Andi is doubtful she will be making a trip to meet Josh’s family.” What could it be?

Of course, we know now that Nick shows up at Andi’s hotel room later that night, but apparently it’s to whisk her away for “some late-night private time to an outdoor café under the stars.” Sounds pretty romantic, and our guess is that it’ll only earn him bonus points with the Atlantan beauty.

Finally, we’ve got the last group date of the season (say it ain’t so!) with Chris Soules, Dylan Petitt, Brian Osborne, and that sneaky Nick joining Andi on a bike built for four (awkward!) that takes them to a monastery. Since she already got plenty of PDA this week, she probably won’t mind that there can’t be any “outward signs of affection or kissing” at the religious locale. So instead the dudes use their words, with Brian showing off an unusually romantic side and someone else (our bets are on Chris) reenacting Ghost in the pottery studio with Andi. Some lucky guy then gets the Group Date Rose, and though they share a lovely waterfront dinner, the suitor returns to “one of the most contentious confrontations of the season” at the hotel. Hey Nick, we can smell ya from here...

Sadly, two guys will just miss out on introducing Andi to their fams — and it’s two good ones! Girl, what are you thinking! (Click here to find out who.) But we can’t stay mad for too long, as it’s time for the four remaining guys to show us where they came from on Hometown Dates. And don’t worry; we hear that the wackiness and drama lives up to those of past seasons!

Tune in on Monday, June 30, at 8 p.m. ET/PT to see how things pan out in Brussels!
