Grey’s Anatomy Star Eric Dane’s New Show, The Last Ship, Gets Premiere Date
If you've been missing Eric Dane (Mark Sloan) on Grey's Anatomy, you're in for one McSteamy summer. TNT has announced premiere dates for three summer dramas, including The Last Ship, starring the hunk formerly known as Mark Sloan.
TNT's explosive summer kicks off with the premiere of The Last Ship on Sunday, June 22, at 9 p.m. ET.
Eric plays Navy Captain Tom Chandler, the leader of a battleship that is one of humanity's last hopes after an infectious disease wipes out much of the world's population.
Immediately afterward is the Season 4 premiere of the network's alien drama Falling Skies. Then, on Wednesday, August 20, comes the premiere of Legends, in which Game of Thrones star Sean Bean plays an FBI agent losing his grasp with reality.
"For the past three summers, TNT has had great creative and commercial success with Falling Skies, which has inspired us to continue to program for fans of sci-fi and action," raves head of programming Michael Wright. "This year, we're going to launch The Last Ship and Legends, two expertly crafted shows that bring the storytelling scope and thrill-ride excitement of our favorite summer movies to series television. With their great writing, expansive casts, and outstanding production quality, these are really fun, smart and addictive shows."
Hey, any show that puts our favorite silver-haired fake doctor back on TV — and back in a life-saving, authoritarian role — is fine by us!
