Eric and Pam’s Bond Is “Unbreakable,” Says True Blood’s Kristin Bauer van Straten

Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) may have released Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) last season on True Blood, but his feisty progeny doesn’t see that as drastic change.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kristin gave some insight into her character’s complicated relationship with her maker.

“I felt like that doesn’t change her feelings,” Kristin said of Pam’s release. “I think it just means that he has to call her on the cell phone.”

Despite the fact their relationship is going through some growing pains, the bigger problems at hand will force all vampires to stick together. Tru Blood is in short supply, and the humans have developed weapons powerful enough to trick even the oldest vampires (see: Governor Burrell’s contact lenses blocking out Eric’s glamouring).

“These are things that Eric has never seen in 3,000 years,” Kristin explained. “And that adds a new layer of insecurity to our world.”

The first two episodes of True Blood Season 6 show Eric pushing Pam away pretty aggressively, but Kristin says the two will always be close no matter what.

“They’re going to go through a lot, but I like to think that that bond is unbreakable,” she said.

Pam and Eric forever, we say.
