ESPN Host Max Kellerman Suspended for Admitting He Hit His Wife

ESPN is having issues with its hosts. SportsNation host Max Kellerman has been suspended from the sports network for admitting to once having hit his then-girlfriend, which makes him the third host to have been suspended by the network in the past two weeks.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Max told a story on an ESPN Radio show on Monday about a time when he and Erin, whom he was dating at the time, attended a college party together. They were both drunk, and she slapped him, and then he slapped her back. Max and Erin have since been married for 20 years.

Max's story was said in light of of NFL running back Ray Rice, who earned a two-game suspension from the NFL for assaulting his girlfriend. "Max Kellerman will return to ESPNLA Radio and SportsNation on Thursday," ESPN released in a statement.

On July 29, Stephen A. Smith was supsended by ESPN for a week for saying that he tells the women in his life to not "do anything to provoke wrong actions." In lighter news, host Dan Le Batard was suspended earlier this week for putting up a billboard that mocks LeBron James.

Do you think ESPN was right to suspend Max for his story?
