Eva Longoria Earns Her Master’s Degree in Chicano Studies
It doesn’t look like Eva Longoria’s career options are limited to being a Desperate Housewife anymore. The brunette beauty showed off her brainy side this week when she earned her Master’s degree from California State University.
The 38-year-old star enrolled in the Chicano Studies program at the California State, Northridge campus in 2009, and excitedly announced her graduation via Twitter on Wednesday.
“Big day today!!! Very excited to graduate for my Master's degree in Chicano Studies!” she wrote. “You're never too old or too busy to continue your education!”
Eva, who had recently flown back to California from the Cannes Film Festival for the graduation, according to Us Weekly, was showered with support from her fellow stars.
Franklin & Bash star Garcelle Beauvais tweeted, “Proud of you Eva,” while former Desperate Housewives co-star Dane Delaney wrote, “Congrats Eva! I remember you studying on set- that is one major accomplishment. You are living life to the fullest.”
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a celebration without one of the original girls from Wisteria Lane — but this time there was no backstabbing involved. “Huge congratulations on your graduation today!!!!” wrote Marcia Cross. “From Cannes to Cap and Gown. You are really something.”
