We’re dying to dive back into the world of The Originals following the heart-stopping (and heart-breaking) death of Davina in last week’s episode. What can we expect from tomorrow night’s installment – Season 1, Episode 12 (“Dance Back From the Grave”)? Check out the extended promo to find out…
“We got a problem,” informs Diego, Marcel’s big-haired minion in the opening to the 30-second promo. The problem? Vampires are turning up dead, used as sacrifices in what seems to be some sort of witchy ritual.
“That’s two more of my guys gone,” Marcel tells Klaus. “Nice job, Captain.” He may deliver that line with a soupcon of sarcasm. After losing his family, aka Davina, in last week’s, it doesn’t seem like he has a lot of energy left to fight back.
Luckily, Sophie is here to explain to us (and, presumably, Klaus) what the heck is going on: “It’s sacrificial magic: the more guys they kill, the more power they get,” she says, as the promo cuts to a shot of witches dancing around a fire and slicing open snakes. (Ew.)
In the next shot, we see Rebekah and Thierry looking surprised. Has Klaus caught them out scheming, or is it something even worse? In this promo for the mid-season, we see Rebekah laid out in a pentagram. Do the witches try to sacrifice her, too?!
“I want the head of whoever did this on a stick,” Klaus threatens at Diego. Good luck with that, Klaus. When have Marcel’s minions ever been competent? It worked in Klaus’ favor when he was plotting against him, but now that he has inheriting the kingdom, not so much.Jury’s still out on the competency of one of the most recent Big Bads, a bow-tied man-witch and one of the three witches Celeste resurrected at the end of last week’s ep. Whatever this dude’s threat level, he gets points for self-confidence: “I will go to Klaus Mikaelson, as he hunts me, and — when I’m done — he’ll wish that he could die,” he says. We see a shot of Bow-Tied Man-Witch choking Klaus. Yikes! Will this dude really be a match for the Originals hybrid?
