Fangtasia’s Ginger Unleashes Signature Scream on the Red Carpet at Season 7 Premiere

Actress Tara Buck is better known to True Blood fans as Ginger, Fangtasia’s ditzy but lovable cocktail waitress with a blood-curdling scream that can be heard all over Bon Temps. With the final season of the HBO hit scheduled to kick off this Sunday, June 22, we know that Ginger’s screams are numbered, but now we have a record of Tara shrieking for the world to hear thanks to a video from E! News.

The actress was being interviewed by E! News’ Marc Malkin at the Season 7 premiere in Los Angeles on June 17, and after revealing what she’d miss most about the series “Kristen and Alex and those amazing costumes that are these trashy little scraps of clothing — the topic of conversation quickly turned to her trademark scream. “It’s pretty epic,” Tara remarked.

Marc then asked the actress to “scream for us,” and after a little convincing she let out the high-pitched distress signal we’ve come to know and love. The scream seemed to stun everyone on the red carpet, as you can see publicists, photogs, and even some of Tara’s co-stars turning around to see what all the fuss was about, and even Marc seems surprised that she went through with it.

“I never do that,” she said with a laugh. “You didn’t think I was going to, did you?” she asked Marc.

“That was amazing,” he replied. “I did not expect you to really do that.”

Marc may have been shocked, but the True Blood fans assembled for the premiere loved the impromptu moment and let out a few screams in response. “That’s my callback,” Tara said.

Head on over to E! News to watch the video for yourself and tell us what you think in the comments below!
