Why Was Farrah Abraham’s Mom Debra Danielson Arrested in 2010?
Farrah Abraham's mom Debra Danielson stopped by Couples Therapy last night for a dramatic therapy session with show host Dr. Jenn Berman — and not surprisingly, the topic of convo was that time Deb slapped her daughter in the face during a heated on-screen argument. According to court documents, this wasn't the only time she allegedly got physical with Farrah…
Debra was arrested back in January 2010 when she "grabbed [Farrah] by the throat," according to an incident report filed with the Council Bluffs Police Department in Iowa. The "victim" (aka Farrah) also stated that Debra "hit her along the side of her head and hit her in the mouth." Yeesh!
When Wetpaint Entertainment teamed up with Viggle last night during Couples Therapy, 70 percent of Viggle LIVE! players were aware that Debra's 2010 arrest was for assault. Only 3 percent thought her trip to the clink was for theft, while 26 percent assumed she was caught driving under the influence (nope, that was Farrah!).

According to TMZ, Debra struck a plea deal on February 26, 2010 and the case was ultimately dropped. As part of the deal, Deb pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and agreed to a suspended 30 day jail sentence — meaning, the whole thing would be tossed as long as she complied with the terms of her probation. But in a weird twist, she did have one request — that two of her kitchen knives, which were seized as evidence, be returned.
