You know what was awkward? When Teen Mom's Farrah Abraham claimed she was dating Orlando-based DJ Brian Dawe, only to have him come forward and say their entire relationship was a media stunt. Yikes. According to Brian, he and Farrah started "dating" so she'd have a partner on VH1's Couples Therapy, but he got cold feet and ditched her last minute. This dude insists that his relationship with MTV's backdoor babe was a total sham, but she continues to deny his claims!
Farrah recently spoke to RadarOnline.com about her relationship with Brian, and stuck to her guns about the fact that they were most definitely a real couple.
“I was told repeatedly, ‘We want Brian to show up,’ ‘We’re trying to get him to come here,’ and ‘He had a mental breakdown and maybe he would show up later,’” she explained. “But as time progressed it was like, he’s really not showing up."
Honestly, a mental breakdown is the only explanation that makes sense for why someone wouldn't want to hang out with Farrah and Ghostface Killah all day. And she seems to think Brian ditched her not because their relationship wasn't authentic, but because he was intimidated by her success.
"What I’ve learned was money and a lot of things that I have the opportunities to do, lots of men that I date can not handle that and they have a lot of insecurities,” she says. “So I tend to choose people who are very insecure because when I was younger, I was very insecure and I relate to that.”
Farrah says her insecurities stem from her dysfunctional childhood, which fans will learn more about when her parents visit the set of VH1's Couples Therapy in an upcoming episode. We're waiting with bated breath!
That being said, do you believe Farrah and Brian were really dating, or was their relationship a total lie? Dish it below.
