VH1's Couples Therapy is always an emotional hot mess, but this week involved even more of Farrah Abraham's notorious ugly-crying than usual. Why? Because this Teen Mom's mother, Debra Danielson, flew in for some family therapy with her daughter, and basically refused to acknowledge that she physically abused Farrah. You know, aside from the fact that it was caught on camera by MTV during Teen Mom.
"What do you mean, I've hit my daughter?" Debra asked Dr. Jenn Berman when she brought up Slap Gate 2012. "You weren't there, you didn't see all of it. So when you ask somebody for twenty five minutes to quit screaming and cussing and yelling at you, and you ask them to be calm and they just keep escalating and getting out of control…."
Farrah cussing for 25 minutes hardly seems like a good excuse to hit her, but when Farrah asked Debra "why the physicalness?" (bless her heart), she simply responded, "Why didn't you just be quiet when I asked you?"
So Farrah deserved to be hit because she didn't listen to Debra's request for her to be quiet? Something definitely isn't adding up. Ultimately, Debra was so wrapped up in her own world that she was never able to acknowledge her mistreatment of Farrah, but hopefully these two have worked through some of their issues since taping Couples Therapy.
Are you surprised by Debra's inability to recognize her own faults? We definitely empathize with Farrah on this one!
