Fifty Shades of Grey Casting: Jesse Williams Says “No Thank You” to Christian Grey Role

Ever since Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam dropped out of Fifty Shades of Grey, names have been flying around for his replacement. Among the list is Grey’s Anatomy’s Jesse Williams, who recently revealed if he would consider playing kinky billionaire Christian Grey.

The short answer? No. When a fan wrote to him him saying he would “make the perfect Christian Grey in the film Fifty Shades of Grey,” he re-tweeted it and added, “No thank you.”

While he looks fantastic in a suit and has the perfect piercing eyes to play Christian, fans were rallying for him to play a different character in the movie: Ana’s friend (and suitor) Jose, who is described as a tall guy who is “all shoulders and muscles,” with “tanned skin, dark hair, and burning dark eyes.” Most of him fits the bill there.

However, it would have been an interesting twist if he played Christian. Though he doesn’t fit the description, we all know he looks good in a suit — whether a classic black tux or well, his birthday suit — and everyone would be mesmerized by his muscles. But since Jesse is giving a firm “no” on this one, sounds like we’ll have to hope he plays Jose or does a similarly sexy movie. We’ll settle for his Grey’s Anatomy character, Jackson, having some fun with April again. Fifty shades of Grey’s, anyone?

What do you think of Jesse playing Christian? Do you think he would fit the role? Sound off below.
