One look at these pics should be enough to convince you that Jamie Dornan has the goods to play sexy seducer Christian Grey in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey flick, but if you care more about acting than abs, this article's for you.

While fans can (and will) debate for days about whether Jamie is exactly the right kind of hot to match the picture of Christian that Fifty Shades painted, in the end what will matter the most is Jamie's ability to convey just the right amount of charm and chemistry, while keeping a wif of darkness around him. Fortunately, we're convinced he has the acting chops to pull it off.

Want to check out some of Jamie's other sexy, dark, or otherwise just plain good roles? We've picked out our three favorites to give you a sense of just what the new Christian can do.

The Huntsman/Sheriff Graham, Once Upon a Time

We first fell in love with Jamie on Once Upon a Time, where he played the brainwashed but sweetly sexy Sheriff Graham in Storybrooke, who also turned out to be the Huntsman who let Snow White go in Fairytale Land. He had instant chemistry with Jennifer Morrison as protagonist Emma, and even though he died way back in early Season 1, we're still not over losing him.

How to watch: You can catch the first season of OUAT on Netflix. If you're pressed for time, just catch Season 1, Episode 7: "The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter."

Paul Spector, The Fall

Jamie's role in The Fall is more chilling than sexy, but if you need proof that he can pull off dark (not to mention hold his own in a cast that includes  Gillian Anderson), you need look no further than this gripping, five-episode crime drama.

How to watch: Netflix

Axel von Fersen, Marie Antoinette

Sophia Coppola's confectionery connection of "historical" drama and over-the-top visuals features Jamie as Axel von Fersen, and he's entirely handsome, seductive and believable in this lush 18th century period piece. Seems like good prep for Fifty Shades of Grey to us!

How to watch: Amazon Instant
