Dancing With the Stars 2013 Finale: Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff’s Cha-Cha Foxtrot Fusion (VIDEO)
With this being the Season 17 finale of Dancing With the Stars, all eyes are on the three celebs and their dance partners. Seriously, the need to impress the judges is more important now more than ever, with the pairs performing their last dances tonight. High School Musical star Corbin Bleu and his pro partner Karina Smirnoff were up first to show what they’ve got, and with a Cha-Cha and Foxtrot fusion, they had their work cut out for themselves.
In the video package before the dance, Corbin was quick to realize how “bittersweet” the final rehearsal was. Things got really emotional, but the two got right to work, knowing they were currently in second place on the leader’s board. Corbin wants to win it really bad — as does Karina — so they really focused.
The judges gave the pair a standing ovation and had nothing but kind words to say. “Corbin, you are a fantastic dancer,” Len Goodman told the celeb. But Len did point out that there was one little mistake, but we definitely didn’t see it! Bruno said it “glided beautifully” but that they “went wrong in the Cha-Cha-Cha” part. Carrie Ann agreed with her fellow judges and had a mixed bag of critiques for the talented dancer and his professional partner.
Score: 9, 9, 9. 27/30.
