Bachelorette 2013 Finale: Does Brooks Forester Return?

UPDATE: Brooks did not return in the Bachelorette Season 9 finale. Chris proposed to Desiree, and she said yes.

As we prepare for tonight's three-hour finale of The Bachelorette Season 9, we're asking the question that's been on everyone's lips since last week: Does Brooks Forester return and beg Desiree Hartsock for forgiveness?

While a happy ending to this season is by no means guaranteed, our sources indicate that somebody puts a ring on it in next week's finale. But given that Des's feelings, by her own admission, are nowhere near as strong for Chris Siegfried and Drew Kenney as they are for Brooks, we find an alternate ending with one of those fine specimens a little hard to imagine. Plus there's the fact that Des is essentially ready to take her dodge ball and go home. We just aren't sure how she could possibly say "I will" to Chris or Drew just one short week after saying, "it sucks that I love you," to Brooks.

Well, here's what we think (though at this point it's pure speculation): Brooks must come back, on his knees. Or, perhaps, just the one knee? Holding a Neil Lane box with and a shiny, 4.5-carat "I'm a total dope, please forgive me" inside? Could it be that Brooks, now aware of Des's true feelings about him, realizes his feelings for her were there all along under all the doubt?

Here's hoping. We just can't see any other believable happy ending for our girl Des.
