Bachelorette 2013 Finale: “The Shocks Start From Minute One”

Ugh, it sounds like more teary moments for Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock when the Season 9 Finale picks up on August 5 where her alone-on-the-dock-in-a-crop-top sobs left off. Last we saw our fallen brunette, she was lamenting her lost love, in Brooks Forester. And last we saw Brooksie, he was making the world’s slowest exit. So, what will happen when we get back to Antigua?

Well, according to showrunner Robert Mills, a lot. “Who's ready for the second part on #TheBachelorette finale on Monday? The shocks start from minute 1,” Millsy tweeted on August 1.

And this isn’t the first time he’s hinted that the real drama isn’t over. The executive tweeted after the episode that all of this is “just foreplay” for the second part of the finale. Hmm, what could that mean?

According to the synopsis, the August 5 episode starts with Desiree talking things through with Chris Harrison, who hopefully has more to say than the “I’m sorry,” we saw in the promo. For her part, Desiree seems completely broken up, and we’re guessing a day or two isn’t going to be enough for her to just brush off her nude-colored leggings and hop back on the catamaran (too soon?).

“To be honest, I just want to go home,” Des says in one of the excerpts from the episode. Will she? Will Brooks return? Will she take him back? We’d be shocked, but not surprised.
