Dancing With the Stars 2013 Finals: Best and Worst Performances (VIDEOS)
Last night (May 20, 2013), the Final Four had their last chance to impress the viewing audience before the Dancing With the StarsSeason 16 winner is crowned on tonight's results show. Who stepped up to the challenge, and who disappointed? Here are Wetpaint Entertainment's picks for best and worst of the night.
Best: Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough's Freestyle
If the winner really is decided by the Freestyle, then we think Kellie Pickler andDerek Hough have this thing in the bag. This stripped down, emotional Contemporary did exactly what Derek wanted it to do — put the spotlight 100 percent on Kellie's talent.
Honorable Mention: Zendaya Coleman & Val Chmerkovskiy's Freestyle
That being said, Zendaya Coleman's Freestyle was good, too. While it lacked a little of the WOW factor we were looking for, Val Chmerkovskiy choreographed a fun dance that really showed off everything Zendaya has learned.
Worst: Jacoby Jones & Karina Smirnoff's Freestyle
Is it just us, or was Jacoby Jones way off last night? We thought his Freestyle would be an explosion of fun and energy, but he actually got lost in the crowd. Good concept, but the execution was off.
Dis-Honorable Mention: Aly Raisman & Mark Ballas's Freestyle
Aly Raisman andMark Ballas's Freestyle earned a perfect score from the judges, but something about it rubbed us the wrong way. The staging was cool (loved the lighting), but it felt like they moved from trick to trick with very little actual dancing.
