Okay, question: How many boxes of tissues did you go through on Thursday night? Because on October 10, Glee is aired Season 5, Episode 3: "The Quarterback," a tribute to late star Cory Monteith (Finn). And to say it was emotional is an understatement.

Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Artie (Kevin McHale) sang James Taylor’s “Fire and Rain.” It really was a very fitting choice.

“Just yesterday morning, they let me know you were gone,” Artie sings. “... the plans they made put an end to you.” Sam chimes in, “I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song / I just can't remember who to send it to.”

The two then sing a duet. “I've seen fire and I've seen rain. I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end / I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend, but I always thought that I'd see you again.”

The emotion is raw. You can hear the pain in their voices. “Fire and Rain” is one of six total songs that was performed during the Cory Montieth tribute. You can watch them all here, but we’d make sure you have that box of tissues somewhere close by.
